Call for Papers
Announcement (October 8, 2008)
We are pleased to announce that after discussions with the Publisher, we now accept short Work-in-Progress Papers(WIPPs). A WIPP should have 2-4 pages, up to 6 pages, containing in-progress research results. The deadline of WIPPS submissions is Oct. 20, 2008.
Announcement (July 23, 2008)
It has been confirmed that selected papers with ORIGINAL UNPUBLISHED results will be published in
- The European Physical Journal B (EPJ-B)
- Advances in Complex Systems (ACS)
- Journal of Systems Science and Complexity (JSSC)
THEME
The interdisciplinary studies on complex systems have gained extensive research interests. Significant impacts have been made by such studies on a wide range of different areas including physics, biology, economics and social sciences, etc. While changing the way we view the world, studies on complex systems are also penetrating their influences into various engineering applications. In the long term, the way we understand and cope with the world may all be revolutionized. This conference aims to provide a unique and convenient platform for people working on theory and applications of complex systems to exchange their ideas and their latest research results. We look forward to your participation in COMPLEX’2009 to make this conference a success.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Paper submission will be handled electronically. Authors should prepare an Adobe Acrobat PDF version of their full paper. Papers should not exceed twelve(12) pages (full paper) or six(6) pages (Work-in-Progress paper) in LNICST format. Note that for the full paper category, we do not further differentiate full-length papers and short papers. That does not mean that the submitted papers have to have close to 12 pages. Please visit the Submission page for detailed submission requirements and procedures.
PUBLICATIONS
Conference proceedings will be published by Springer in the series of ICST Lecture Notes (LNICST). The LNICST series is available in all the leading academic and scientific indexes and on SpringerLink as well. Please visit the Publications page for more information.
